MarMaids Is Founded
MarMaids was founded by Victor Enciso in 2023 after his experience as an Airbnb investment property owner gave him firsthand insight into what guests expect—and how much cleanliness, reliability, and communication influence the guest experience.
What started as a solution to a real need became the foundation for a cleaning company built around the demands of short-term rental operations.
2024
Our First 30 Properties
By 2024, MarMaids reached its first major milestone: 30 properties in our growing cleaning portfolio.
Our experience with Airbnb and short-term rental turnovers helped us develop more organized systems for scheduling, same-day turnovers, crew coordination, and communication with property owners and managers.
What started with firsthand experience as an Airbnb owner was quickly becoming a growing Hampton Roads operation.
2025
Growing to 90 Properties
In 2025, MarMaids reached 90 properties, tripling the size of our portfolio in just one year.
As our operation expanded, so did our services. MarMaids continued specializing in Airbnb and vacation rental turnovers while growing our residential and commercial cleaning operations and developing relationships with property managers and business clients throughout Hampton Roads.
Growth brought new challenges—and the need for better systems to manage an increasingly complex operation.
2026
180 Properties. 20 Team Members. One Connected Operation.
By 2026, MarMaids reached another major milestone: 180 properties supported by a growing team of approximately 20 professionals.
Our operation now includes dedicated scheduling coordination, professional cleaning teams, commercial contracts, corporate partnerships, and an expanding portfolio of Airbnb, VRBO, and short-term rental properties throughout Hampton Roads.
That growth also led us to build something specifically for the way MarMaids operates.
We developed our own custom MarMaids app to help manage scheduling, crew assignments, live communication, property updates, service notifications, damages, inventory concerns, and short-term rental turnovers from one connected system.
Instead of adapting our growing operation around generic software, we built technology around our real-world experience.

From One Property to 200
What began with one Airbnb investment property has grown into a professional cleaning operation supporting 180 properties throughout Hampton Roads.
Today, MarMaids brings together a team of approximately 20 professionals, dedicated scheduling coordination, residential and commercial cleaning, corporate and commercial contracts, extensive short-term rental experience, and custom-built technology.
Our growth has changed the scale of our operation—but not the principles it was built on: reliability, communication, consistency, and a better experience for the properties and clients we serve.
